City Guide to Edinburgh, Scotland
We flew to Edinburgh following our trip to London (see here for our London Itinerary), and it was absolutely adorable. We stayed at a flat in The Grange neighborhood which was lovely, but I would also recommend the Stockbridge neighborhood.
Here are my favorite things we did that I would recommend to others who are visiting:
Restaurants:
The Rabbit Hole
The Chaumer
Cotê
63rd + 1st
Badger & Co
The Scran and Scalle
Bross Bagels
Coffee:
The Milkman | Their blueberry knots are also sooo delicious!
Fortitude Coffee
I would recommend spending two days in Edinburgh, and here's what I would do:
Day One:
Coffee & blueberry knots at The Milkman
Walk along Princes Street Gardens, Scott Monument, and Ross Fountain to Edinburgh Castle
Tour Edinburgh Castle
Lunch at Badger & Co.
Walk along the Royal Mile
There are SO many shops and places to see but it's all very close together and easy to walk from one spot to another.
Ex: Cockburn Street, Mary King's Close, Dunbar's Close, Victoria Street, Armchair Books,
Dinner at The Rabbit Hole
Day Two:
Grab breakfast at Bross Bagels in Stockbridge
Fortitude Coffee in Stockbridge is great for coffee
Bop into Golden Hare Books (right next-door to Bross Bagels)
Walk down Circus Lane
Water of Leith Walkway
Walk to Dean Village
Lunch at The Chaumer
Hike to Arthur's Seat
Shop/bop around
Return to the flat to freshen up
Dinner & drinks at The Salisbury Arms
